Snickerdoodles

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs

2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

2 Tbs. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

* Mix butter, shortening, sugar, & eggs. In a separate bowl combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add to butter mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in cinnamon & sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes.

Makes 5 dozen.
