Crock Pot Sweet & Sour Chicken

4 boneless chicken breasts (or 6-8 Chicken tenderloins)
1 green pepper, chopped
1 can pineapple chunks
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. ketchup
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbs. red wine vinegar
2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
4 Tbs. soy sauce

Place chicken breasts, green peppers and pineapple in crock pot. combine all other ingredients and pour on top. Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 8-10. 30 minutes before serving remove chicken from sauce and cut into bite size pieces. Return to crock pot. Serve with brown (or white) rice.

*tip: If you are planning on cooking it for a long time wait to put the peppers and pineapple in until about an hour before so they dont get too soggy.

I have a question, do you drain the pineapple chunks or do you put the juice in the crock pot as well?!

I usually drain them.

Thank you so much! I came across your regular blog by accident & noticed you had a food blog also, but I LOVE it! It makes trying to figure out what to have for dinner so easy & the recipes are easy also! I hope you don't mind a stranger getting some of your recipes?! (Actually it is kind of weird, I noticed you work at Star 21 my Aunt is Christine [Chris]Hulse, so maybe that helps, I am not really a stranger if you know her?!) 8-) I am excited to try your corn chowder too! Thanks for sharing!

What a small world! Of course I know Chris! I will have to tell her our connection :) I am so glad you like our recipes. We are definitely fans of simple recipes (who has hours to spend in the kitchen anyways right?) So glad you found us!
